Hautausmaalle kuljetaan hämärän, ”kuolleen” tilan kautta. Huoneessa on allas, jossa vesi lepää. Pitkän, kapean tilan päätteenä kajastaa valo. Kohti valoa käännytään veden ylittävältä sillalta ja saavutaan ”elävään” tilaan, joka on lasiseinäinen talvipuutarha. Tuhkat haudataan elävään tilaan. Talvipuutarhan ulkopuolella on vihreitä huoneita; nekin ovat hautapaikkoja.

Entry for an open architectural competition from 1989. First prize.
The journey to the cemetery leads through a shaded ‘dead’ space; there is a pool of resting water in the room and light comes in at the end of a long, narrow space. The bridge across the water leads to the light, to the ‘living’ space; the winter garden in a conservatory. The ashes are buried here, in the living space. There are green spaces outside the winter garden; they are also burial grounds.
